I
began as an instructor at Tougaloo College Summer Art Colony in the
summer of 2004. We had paper artists, silk textile artists, painters,
and those working in encaustics as well as the polymer clay masks
class. I was new to taking pictures, having just gotten my first
digital camera a month before, and I was not yet into the groove of
keeping track of who did what. I will see if the College has records
and add names here later.

The pictures shown at left are from the brochure
and are the works of the instructors in 2004. Above is Holmes Hall,
the art department building where I taught both years I've attended
the Art Colony. The pictures below are shots of student work from our
display in the classroom at the end of the week. We made faces, molds,
and boxes, eggs---we even created texture molds and one student made
faux tree bark and twigs, faux cantaloupe melon skin peels and faux
seeds and shells using polymer!
