How some artists use their Ready Stamps

Sarajane Helm has been using Ready Stamps products since 1993, and finds them an invaluable source of texture and pattern. The designs she uses are her own pen and ink drawings, and images from the Dover Pictorial Archive series. She uses the matrix boards to roll designs into the clay beads she produces, to make decorative mouldings for miniatures and for jewelry, for frames, and more. Clay can also be stamped using PearlEx powders, Fimo Bronzpulver, or embossing powders, and it can be stained, painted, or buffed to a sheen after baking. Click here to read more about using inks and embossing powders with polymer clay.

She uses one stamp to impress her logo into the backs of doll heads, another for signing larger work. Her 1995 article about Ready Stamps in the National Polymer Clay Guild's house magazine "The PolyINFORMer" was her first effort at promoting the use these versatile tools, and she continues to share that information whenever possible.

The following pieces were done by artists in response to an Internet Newsgroup Swap.
Each is done with polymer clay, and Ready Stamps products, and yet they are all so different, and each beautiful!

Swaps are a great way to see work from other people, and can encourage artists to stretch out a little...perhaps to try something new. Click here to learn more about them!
